Ethereum mining with two GPUs: rare only one job
In recent years, Ethereum Mining has been a popular way to make a profit through cryptocurrency transactions. However, some enthusiasts have used unique capabilities that offer two GPUs, which can significantly improve overall performance and efficiency of mining.
One of these enthusiasts is a user who recently created two GPUs – R9 280X from ASUS and HD 7790 from another brand. Surprisingly, only one of these GPUs will appear when you start the Sudo Aticonfig – -LSA team.
Call:
In most cases, the Sudo Aticonfig – -LSA will be listed as available units that suggest that they are ready for Ethereum. However, this user has only one GPU.
This raises an interesting question: Why is this happening? What does it determine if one GPU appears in two instead?
Answer:
After some studies and insight into the mining process, the problem seems to be the way Ethereum counts the number of units available. Specifically, the “-Lsa” used by “Sudo Aticonfig-LSA” checks whether all GPUs are used and have a valid configuration. If only one GPU is available, it will be listed as a “available unit”, not both GPUs.
Solution:
To solve this problem, we need to adjust “Aticonfig” to ignore any non -functional GPU. We can do this by adding a new option to the team that allows us to enter a list of valid control units.
Here is a modified team sudo aticonfig - -la
:
`Bash
SUDO ATICONFIG-RSA-LIST-SIVIE-GPU-Divice-Ed = 0-1.2
`
In this corrective team, we have added another option -Device-id = 0-1.2
, which requires you to check only the GPU R9 280x and HD 7790 GPU.
Judgment:
Using these modifications, both GPUs will now appear as units available, launching “Sudo Aticonfig – -sa”. This rare case emphasizes the unique challenges and jokes of Ethereum mining, where even multi -GPU collaboration can not always behave as expected.
